Yes, this powder tastes TERRBIBLE... but it's worth it for what you get. Most protein powders on the market are made with junk, doing more harm to your body than good. Garden of Life is admirable for their use of real foods for the content of their products. Your body can actually USE what is in this powder, plus it's organic.

I make a shake after my morning workout out of yogurt or raw milk, a banana, blueberries, the recommended scoop of powder, and some chocolate powder. The first shake wasn't so bad, once I added the chocolate, and now I crave it!!

I bought this product because it was soy-free and had good ratings on other sites. I tried mixing it with blueberries, frozen bananas, added Pom juice, orange juice, limes, honey, vanilla extract, and it still tastes like dirt. The first swallow is the worst though, and I discovered if I drink it fast enough to keep my mouth and tastebuds very cold, it is tolerable. It does seem to digest easily, without any GI side effects.

    Like taking mutli-vitamins, I thought it would be helpful to get extra, healthy protein. I add a heaping scoop to my morning smoothie and, if I feel up to it, a nightly smoothie. I love that the ingredients are raw and natural and that it has no flavor to overpower my smoothies. This powder adds thickness to my drinks w/o them being too thick to sip thru a straw, and I NEVER experience a chalky taste. I have experienced gain in muscle bulk (in-body test when not working out) , as well as hair and incredible nail growth. Aside from the hemp protein I bought when I ran out of this, it is the only protein powder I buy.

    I mix this in my daily green smoothies with handfuls of kale or chard, spinach, celery, some frozen raspberries, blueberries, half a banana, a splash of orange juice (aiming for 80% veg/20% fruit), ice and purified water. I use half a scoop so as not to make it too viscous. I stir a tablespoon of Vitamineral Greens in after it is mixed to start my day after a hot yoga class, gentle or vigorous, depending on what my 50 year old body needs or can tolerate.
    Garden of Life is a company that makes whole food supplements, not synthetic. I also use their probiotics with HSOs and encourage my family to do the same for optimal health.

      This protein powder is so good for me that I'm willing to put up with the "chalky" consistency. When I'm at home, I blend it with pieces of citrus peel, a slice of ginger, hydrated chia seeds, full fat yogurt, and cinnamon - with water and fruit juice. It boosts my daily protein intake, lets me get the yogurt I need and contributes its own pro-biotics. I simply "drink it down" and feel better for it. I have taken it on trips because I would not want to do without it. I really appreciate having this available - without all the fillers and sugars in other products of its type. I have used this daily for at least 3 months - taking sometimes just a half scoop - depending on what I need for the day, and I can seriously say that my systems work better because of it. Highly recommended.

          I absolutely love this product for my protein supplement. I eat 5 meals per day to support my workout regimen and I could not do it faithfully without it. It is perfect to add to yogurt to give it a protein boost - just add about a tablespoon of cold water to the yogurt and one scoop of this. I also use it daily for my protein shakes. It goes really well with Almond Milk.

            I drink this 6 morinings a week . I work out 5 days a week, in the water for approx 8 hours a week and golf 1-2 times a week. I mix this drink with a green plant juice, 1/2 a frozen banana and the raw protein, mix it in a small blender for a few seconds...taste great and I don't feel so bloated before a workout.

              I blend this up every morning with Almond Milk (or similar!), my liquid vitamins and some ice. I like that it has what I would say is "no flavor." Sometimes I will add straight cocoa powder to make it chocolately.

              Additionally, the price here is very reasonable especially compared to places where you can spend your whole paycheck.
