My hair is rather thick and tends to frizz and do exactly what I don't want it to do. When I use this putty I comb out my hair while its wet and apply it. When hair dries it results in wavy or curly hair, love it!

Just got my hair cut super short. This is great for my "messy bed-head look". Works so well my hair loks exactly the same when I wake up in the morning. Cheap[...] It pretty goopy and gross while applying but does a fantastic job. Yay!

I like this product. I usually don't like to be caught with drugstore products in my cabinet but this one is worth the risk. I have straight thick but limp oily hair. I have to wash every morning. Most products look great for an hour and then turn my hair into an unwashed looking heap of limp hair. This doesn't do that. It also gives me enough control on the ends to get a little curl and style.

When I had short hair, this was a great product to use for styling purposes. My hair is long and thick now, so I don't use it anymore. This is a great styling tool for creating "spikes," or other styles in short hair. This product does harden when dry, which is why I don't recommend it for long hair or people who don't like their hair to feel starchy and brittle. It smells great though, and is fun to play with.

I have straight, very fine short hair and this product was awful on it. I finally threw it away, which I never do, but it just weighed down my hair and didn't add any shape at all.

This works ok, but only for a few hours. It can dry crunchy and shiny if applied to damp hair, and loses all hold if you break up the clumps. It won't last all day or allow you to restyle it -- you have to add more if you want to restyle. The texture and smell are both unpleasant, as well.

I use this to scrunch my hair. And it works nicely. It's slightly sticky on your fingers, but not in your hair and your hair does last all day. Plus the scent is pleasant.
My best friend uses it to style her bangs. She got a new haircut and is training her hair to part a certain way. So she has to blow dry her bangs to go with the part. She says she runs a light application of this through her bangs, blow dries them, and straightens them, and they turn out GREAT.

this product is pretty darn good, i have mixed race (blacn n white) type hair thats coarse and curly and i style it BACK in a more conservative poof, when i applied it didnt look like i was wearing hair gel/products, the disappointing thing is that the gel wears out BUT that can b fixed by actually applying WATER to ur hair and itll b fresh again. yea that actually works.... i wish they would make the jar bigger and i mean BIGGER MUCH BIGGER!! lol

I REALLY like Garnier Fructis products. and I really wanted to like this one. I had recently gone with the trends and had my hair cut in the style of a faux hawk. I tried this product and went out, but after an hour, I realized that it had collapsed and ended up sticking straight forward into some weird punk rock 'do. It's great for texturizing if you have shorter hair, but when you're trying to style extremes, it's not easy. I have had trouble with my hair before, as it always "fights" the product I put in it because it's so thick and straight. I was hoping this product would finally be a miracle, but all the alternatives that I do know that work are WAY overpriced.

I have very fine short hair, and this product only works OK. It seems to work best applied to almost-dry hair. The smell is non-offensive, if a little fruity. It gives pretty good volume, but doesn't hold very long. This stuff is pretty viscous, so if it gets wet again, it can be kind of slimy/sticky feeling.
