Pretty easy to use and keep up for the 7 shampoos. You absolutely need a hair dryer and flat iron to use this product. It keeps hair straighter and frizz-free much longer than a normal blow-out.

Be very wary of this product. It damaged my hair 15 months ago and I'm still dealing with it. If you read other reviews, you will see similar experiences. Some people have had such terrible results that they are calling for a clas action lawsuit. Do not use...you will regret it.

Let me begin by saying that Garnier Fructis is the only shampoo and conditioner that both my boyfriend and I use. We love the way their products work, as well as the wonderful way they smell!
I followed the directions exactly and unfortunately, I was disappointed with the Sleek and Shine Blow Dry Perfector Kit. The directions mentioned that you might notice a smell with the Smooth-It Serum, but I was not expecting a very strong perm scent. Luckily the Heat-Activated Perfect-It Cream had a nice, familiar Garnier smell. Initially, the kit worked to straighten my hair, but it definitely did not last the seven shampoos that I was hoping for. In addition, my hair is much drier and more brittle than before and even after several shampoos, still has a faint smell of perm. I regret to say that I cannot recommend this product. However I do still love Garnier products and from now on will stick to the Straightening Balm and Mist.

I have to say, I love this stuff. I have this bizarre hair that is super super thick (not the individual strands, I just have a ton of hair). It's straight in the front and attempts to be wavy in the back. So unless I flat iron, it gets frizzy and wavy on me and looks terrible in the back. It also will not hold any style because it's so heavy and thick. So I've been looking for a product that will at least smooth out the back so it can look halfway decent if I just blow dry and go (which is really all I have time for in the morning).

I had been getting a super expensive brazilian smoothing treatment at my salon that really wasn't doing much. I came across this stuff thinking it was a product you put in your hair before blow drying, but then I realized it was more of a treatment like the chemical straighteners I used to use, but not as harsh.

As others said, I was a bit put off by the smell of the first product, but I'm not super sensitive to smells so I could deal with it. My hair also felt a little greasy the first day, but still looked great. Where I really noticed the results though, was the first day I washed and blow dried my hair after using the product. It's so smooth, light, and most importantly, straight in the back!! Which is all I could have asked for. Plus it cut down on blow drying time by a ton. I'm hoping it doesn't really wash out after 7 shampoos, but even if it does I'll keep using it. This stuff has solved my hair problems.

Makes hair easier to comb and style even if you don't straighten it. Have experienced ZERO frizz to hair and even has repelled frizz and curl after straightening when got caught in rain. Hair also breaks less now when I straighten and comb it.

My hair is very, very fine (although there's lots of it), and humidity makes it look terrible, no matter how good a haircut I get. Because of that, I wore my hair as short as possible for years. Now I have an asymetrical cut and one side is chin-length, and this product has made it possible for me to grow it. Don't be put off by the smell of the processor -- once you wash it out it doesn't linger. My hair looks great for about two weeks after use. I use it throughout the summer months. If it weren't for this stuff, I'd have to keep my hair close to a crew cut all summer long!

I have thick, frizzy, curly hair and I am always trying to find a way to make it straighter and smoother. One day, I was at the store and I saw this product. It looked like a good product and I've had luck with Garnier Fructis before so I decided I'd give it a try.When I got home, I took it out of the box and read the instructions. It was a lot more complicated then I thought it'd be but I decided to use it anyway. The moment I opened the first of the two products, I began to gag. It had to be the worst smelling product I've ever used. It smelled like I was sticking my face into a huge vat of rotten eggs. I applied it to my hair and waited for the amount of time I was supposed to. Then, I washed it out and put in the second product. This one smelled bad, but not nearly as bad as the first. When I put it in, my hair felt greasy but I figured that once I blow dried it, it would be better. Nope. My hair looked just the same as always, if not a little greasier. In a final attempt, I flat ironed it hoping I would see an improvement then. Once again, no. I had just spent [$] and 2 hours for absoultely nothing. Don't bother buying this product.

This product is great!!!!!!! If only I would have listened to the other reviews, I would not have tried this product: so very glad I tried it!!!!!!! GREAT, WONDERFUL and follow the simple directions and you will not go wrong. Hair looks and feels healthy, strong and straight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gave this a try it does speed up drying but makes your hair very brittle, I still have to blow dry and use a straightener which caused the hair in back to break, I would not use this again and really would not recommend it to anyone, it doesn't do very much. It is supposed to wash out after 7 washings but it didn't. Don't risk your hair with this product it isn't worth the money or time for your hair to grow back I have a bob with bangs and it was all 1 length before and took a long time to get it that way now it's ruined in back.

My daughter has super curly hair. I thought this would be a fun way to smooth her out.

The odor is horrible. Smells like a home perm. My daughter could hardly stand it and my husband gave me many disapproving looks and turned on the bathroom fan as well as the kitchen fan!

It did work. But not as well as I expected. It smoothed her curly hair very nicely. (She wanted it smooth and wavy.) It's still wavy. I expected the product would straighten it more. Although with my daughter's hair, I'm not sure if it's a fair challenge.

The process was more than I wanted to take on. From the 20-minutes on the hair to the final rinse, it was more time-consuming than I'd like.
