I have the typical dark brown Asian hair, and so I know my hair wouldn't turn out to be as light as the box had indicated within 20 minutes - since I wasn't aiming for a bright head full of highlights anyway, the subtle color that I ended up with was quite nice.I already have existing highlights that have been growing out, so touching up the roots as well as highlighting with this product complemented my existing highlights quite nicely.It's a bit hard to coat the hair evenly with the brush that came with the hair dye, so I decided to take one of those disposable [@] mascara brushes and used it instead. Fumes smell pretty bad, so use in a well-ventilated area.This product is as good as it gets! Will definitely reuse again in the future!

I haven't had highlights for a few years and wanted to add some in. The brush applicator seemed difficult to use and I didn't think it would add highlights in a professional way so I replaced it with a pull-through cap that I have used successfully before. It colored my hair red, not warm bronze. I don't have a lot of grey but this product did not cover what I do have. A couple weeks later I colored it all with a medium brown color - forget the highlights with this product, it sucked. I would not buy this again.

I used this for the first time after coloring my hair with a base color first. Having a lot of gray, I knew highlights would disguise my roots. My friend applied this for me, and had to keep strand testing in front then in back, as some strands were finished sooner than others. The color came out beautifully, and added light to my face. Very appropriate for my dark brown hair, not blonde. I would recommend this to someone who can't afford to go to the salon.

I first used this product a month ago and my hair is a gorgeous sunset brown shade (caramel brown).

The minute I put it in, I noticed the change! I only had to leave it in for 15 minutes and it came out beautiful!

I used it as an all-over color. Works great that way too.

But I have short hair and only needed 1 box. If you have long hair you might need 2-3 boxes.
