I wash with this in the morning and night without scrubbing harshly or leaving on too long. The first use felt irritating but the skin quickly adjusts and now I like the tingly feeling. I am a female in my late 20s and have struggled with persistent acne for years. As a teen I had luck with a topical sulfur prescription, but it was too drying to continue as an adult. This cleanser is clay based (second ingredient is Kaolin). This is the first cleanser I have found as an adult that completely dries up my acne. It does not dry the skin and I no longer see fine lines (it also contains salicylic acid). If this product is for you, it will be immediately obvious and your acne bumps will dry out within the first day or two and your fine lines will be less noticeable. I don't use makeup, but I use eye creams and an SPF moisturizer cream during the day and topical retin-A at night. I would recommend this product to any young adult female struggling with seneitive, dry, oily skin and hormonal cystic acne.
I love the fresh smell and they way my skin feels after using it. I use it as a mask now and then, but I prefer to use it in the shower each morning. It gives my face a gentle but effective scrub and rinses easily. I have sensitive skin and it has not caused me any irritation. I really like that this single product can replace three other bottles that would have cluttered my bathroom. I rarely buy the same beauty products more than once because there always seems to be a new one to try, but I have used mine up and am back for more.
I'm still not sure whether to use once a day or more. I tried the mask but it didn't work that well for me... After using Rapid Clear Face Scrub my face was peely and gross, but now that i switched to Garnier, I have smooth skin and less peeling. It smells good and it makes you feel good.
I have very sensitive skin. It is hard for me to find a product that won't break me out. I bought this stuff before my deployment to Afghanistan. I use it daily. It's great. It is not heavy and it works great. It has improved my skins texture. I love that I can use it in the shower everyday or if I have time I can wear it as a mask for a bit longer. Leaves skin feeling fresh and clean. I will most certainly buy some more.
This really is a multi-use product! I had a problem with my skin peeling after using Retin-A, and this takes care of it. Plus, it makes skin smoother and more refined. Nice that it doubles as a mask when you want one.
How do I use it? As a Daily Cleanser: To wash away dirt and excess oil and remove surface impurities, moisten hands and face and gently apply cleanser in circular motions avoiding the eye area. Rinse face with water.
As an Exfoliating Scrub: To gently exfoliate away dead skin cells for super-smooth skin, moisten hands and face and vigorously massage for 1 minute onto skin in circular motions avoiding the eye area. Rinse face with water. Use 1 to 2 times a week.
As a 3 Minute Mask: to detoxify skin and purify clogged pores, spread a thin layer onto skin avoiding the eye area. Let dry for 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water. Use 1 to 2 times a week.
