I used these bars as a meal replacement, and they were okay. My main complaint is the taste was just okay, but the texture was strange, with weird chewy bits and even some hard bits. I was hoping for so much more from a chocolately bar. However, over time, I did grow to like the taste more.

I was so happy to find this bar online; my local stores no longer carry it. Great flavor (yes, tastes like chocolate) and consistency (not dry!). It gives me a good shot of protein. I keep a box of these in my desk drawer at work at all times.

These are hands-down the best tasting protein bars I've had -- and I've tried A LOT! The texture might take a little getting used to; it's rather dense, but the flavor is great. They are filling, tasty, travel, well, and have a good amount of protein per bar. But, be careful, there are 240 calories per bar, so they are a bit much for a snack!

i've eaten the fudge brownie genisoy bars for years and they have now changed the recipe. sorry, but the new recipe sucks!! i've contacted genisoy and they are aware that the consumer is not happy with the new bars, but have refused to compensate me for returning them. hopefully they'll go back to the old recipe soon!

This is my favorite protein bar
I love the fact that in's made of soy
and while it's so delicious, it is still nutritional and fills you up for good 3-4 hours.
I eat this for breakfast for everyday!
I'm a busy student who has no time to spend time on cooking or eating
this comes very handy and sometimes for lunch too.. I don't feel that hungry or weak from lacking nutrition!
it's just soooo delicious!

I love these bars and think they are hands down the best tasting protein bars out there. About the aftertaste; I've come to the conclusion that shorter the period of time between eating real desserts- like a real brownie-the more you will taste the aftertaste. If you eat pretty clean (I rarely eat real) these things will taste like heaven and I think they make good snacks since I can't prepare meals during the day. Be mindful of the fact that these things have a ton of sugar (bad) and enough calories to be considered meal replacement- many people don't appreciate that. This all considered I love them because it's just enough to stop my worst sugar cravings.

I purchased these bars based on the good reviews they got, but I must say that I was somewhat disappointed. I am now convinced that you cannot buy a great tasting protein bar, it's just not possible. Don't get me wrong; the bar isn't all that bad, but just not as good as I'd hoped it would be. The texture is about the same as any other protein bar, and it DOES leave a slight aftertaste. Maybe it's just me. Overall, a decent bar that serves its purpose, but the taste definitely leaves something to be desired.

This tastes like a candy bar. Ever try those other protein bars with that nasty aftertaste? Well, this doesn't have it. A great snack, especially for chocolate lovers like me. A little high on the sodium meter per calorie, but otherwise no animal proteins, a pleasant chewy texture with a little crunch, and a good proportion of proteins to carbs to calories. An excellent value for the quality.

These bars really taste good. They are not super sweet like the bars that mimic candy, but have a pleasant chocolate brownie flavor. They are meant to be used as meal replacements and therefore, are not what I would call low-calorie treats. They have a healthy amount of non-GMO soy protein, and everyone knows soy is good for you, so these are a smart choice. Other flavors I've tried are also quite tasty!
