Superior cartridge geometry (vs. Gillette CustomPlus/Sensor2 Disposable)

All Mach3 cartridges can be used on all Mach3 razors

The original Mach3 continues its legacy of close shaves with this 8-ct. pack of replacement cartridges. Its 3-blade technology offers both a comfortable shave and the longevity that comes only with exchangeable cartridges. Its Comfort Guard includes 5 Microfins to bring you a close, comfortable shave, and the Indicator Lubrication Strip fades to white to show when you are no longer getting an optimal shave. Still a trusted choice, the Mach3 continues to give men around the world a great start to their day.

Nothing beats the original Mach 3 for me. I tried other brands, like Flex, Atra, Quattro, even the Mach 3 Turbo and I keep returning to this one. I have a coarse beard that requires daily shaving, twice daily before Mach 3 came out. A few months ago, I decided that the price of the cartridge was too steep so I sought out the old double-edged razors. After waiting through a "learning curve" phase, I was still getting a horrible, raw shave, be it a 7Am, Derby, or Feather Blade. So then I tried an Injector, and that was not much better. Horrible razorburn. I asked an old guy I work with what he uses, and he said there is a reason that people switched from DE and Injectors...and it wasn't just marketing hype! Mach 3, I promise to never stray again!

Don't be fooled into thinking three blades are better than two. Having three blades just means that Gillette can charge you more for their products. It's just a typical corporation making you believe you need something and then charging you more for it. And yes I have used this product. I don't like the flimsy feel of the head. It bends back too easily. Also the angle of the head is too close to 90 degrees for my liking. I'll stay with my 2 blade Gillette sensor. I like the angle of the head better on the Sensor and I like that the blades move and not the head itself which gives it a weird feeling on the Mach 3. The 2 blade Sensor is also cheaper than the Mach 3. I have noticed that Gillette is also trying the 3 blade gimmick for their Sensor blades. There is no reason to buy 3 blades when 2 works just find. If you like getting ripped off, then go ahead. I'll keep buying my 2 blade Sensor until they stop making them. When that happens I'll probably find another company.
Comments about Gillette MACH3 Refill Cartridges, 8 ea:
I have a tough beard and tender skin. Tough combination. I begin shaving 50 years ago with a Gillette double edge safety razor. I have given Shick and Gillette a small fortune over the years. The price of blades has become absurd. I tried Harry's and found them to be on par with Fusion and even better than the Mach 3 at almost half the price. Buy these if you must, they do work, but Harry's gives as good or better a shave at much less cost.
