Personally, I don't like the fusion. I find the blades too big to handle tight areas (lip/nose, etc.). Gillette makes very good mid-range priced products, but why they charge so much for these blades is beyond me (then again, this same lack of understanding applies to everything from chewing gum to sneakers). Bottom line, I use them exclusively.but if I could for the same quality for a more reasonable price I would switch.

Poor quality and too expensive. Like most specialty razor blades that only fit one type of razor, this brand gets worse and worse. Most of a pack of new ones these days are useless - my Wahl elecrtic cuts closer. Those that give a shave up to my standards do so only for a few shaves then are dull. This is another razor blade company ripoff. Get a Wahl electric and buy razors at [...] You'll have at least as good a chance of a good shave from at least a few from the cheap bag of razors and an equal proportion of those will function for many shaves. These blades are a rip off.
Comments about Gillette Sensor Excel, Refill Cartridges, 10 ea:
Still the best blade around for me. The 4 & 5 blade models shave a bit closer, but are just too large to do anything but shave in a straight line. The Excel is reasonably priced compared to the newest blades. Only negative is that I sometimes don't get a full weeks worth of shaves from one blade.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
– Though many people swear by razors with as many blades as can fit into a cartridge, others faithfully stick with a two-blade razor that has withstood the test of time. The Gillette Sensor Excel has been popular among shavers for more than two decades, and it truly kicked off the revolution of multi-blade cartridge razors. You can continue to rely on this quality product by stocking up on Gillette Sensor Excel, Refill Cartridges whenever your razor head needs to be replaced.
Advanced Closeness and Comfort
With its self-adjusting dual blades, the Sensor Excel can easily track every curve and contour of your face to give you the close shave you want. You will also find that having just two blades gives you more control over the razor than you might be used to with three- or five-blade models. In front of the blades, each cartridge is equipped with flexible microfins that help protect your skin by making hairs stand up, prepping them for removal. This advanced shaving technology from Gillette helps ensure a shave that is both close and comfortable, which is why this product has remained so popular for so long.
Sensor Excel Shaving Tips
As with other wet razors, you will have the most luck using your Gillette Sensor Excel with a high-quality shaving cream or gel. Your chosen lubricant creates a barrier between the blades and your skin to reduce friction and limit nicks and abrasions. Begin by shaving in the direction of hair growth (with the grain), and then switch to shaving against the grain only if you reach trouble spots that are harder to target with your razor. Keep using each razor cartridge until it starts to get dull, and then replace it with another Sensor Excel cartridge. The Gillette handle makes it easy to pop off your old cartridge and insert a new one as needed.
