I loved the scent of this shampoo and how easy it was to get a good lather, but the lathering chemicals it contains are too similar to sodium laureth sulfate and made my scalp itchy and dry afterwards. Same happened to my husband. My hair felt fine afterward, although I always use conditioner and products in it anyways. I would recommend this shampoo if you don't normally have any issues with dry scalp. I liked everything else about it and wished I could have continued to use it.

I've been using more natural products and when my stylist said my hair needed more protein, I decided to try this shampoo. It's really made a difference, and I can say it's one of the best shampoos I've ever used! I tried it first with just a small amount of Giovanni's 2chic leave in conditioner, which I rinsed out so I could mainly test the shampoo. It has a nice creamy lather, light fragrance, and rinses clean. Even without other products, like gel or mousse, my normally dry hair is smooth and shiny afterward. Looking forward to trying other Giovanni products!
