Used this for the first time this morning after I received it in the mail yesterday and it's perfect! It helped me so far to remove most of the knots in my hair without tearing my hair out- with just one quick wash! I could feel the mint leaf ingredient working and my hair felt clean and silky after using this product. I can't wait to see the results after daily use!!

For anyone who has an oily scalp, this is an excellent hair "stripper" as it pulls out oils from your roots. Other reviewers have said they find this product too drying or that it doesn't lather enough. As someone who uses many natural and high-end salon products, I want to tell you to ignore that feedback!

Lather: Natural shampoos will not lather much -- this is because the chemicals in drugstore and even non-natural salon lines have SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) or an ammonium version in them. These ingredients add the soapy, lather component and make you feel like you're getting cleaner. Natural shampoos do not have this or contain plant-derived versions. Therefore, they will never lather as much as mainstream products. That doesnt' mean they are cleaning any less.

Drying effect: The tea-tree oil in this product does have a harsher drying effect than other products. That's a plus because it removes impurities. If you have long hair like mine and are also concerned about dryness at your ends, I have two recommendations: 1) only shampoo your roots -- most stylists will tell you this for any shampoo; 2) use a small amount of this shampoo to zap your oils, rinse, then use another brand, like Redken (make sure it's a curls line -- they have far fewer chemicals than the other lines).

I should also point out that this shampoo gives great shine to my hair! I switch between it and Burt's Bees Shampoo, and Redken or some Matrix lines.

I have been using this shampoo for about two years, mixing it in with other natural and naturally conscious hair products.

This product leaves a nice feeling to your scalp but it dries it out which is weird since it should do the opposite. it doesnt lather well the first time, need to wash twice to get a good wash. i would continue to use it because its organic.

I started to notice my hair was "looking" thinner. I had no hair was falling out but it appeared to have no volume. After reading the reviews on this product I bought it and WOW what a difference! In the first washing I noticed my hair had more volume. I love this shampoo!

As of this writing, the ingredients listed above show Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia) near the top of the list. The ingredients have changed. The tea tree oil is now closer to the middle of the list. It has a lot of aloe, which is not bad. However, the menthol smell is quite overwhelming. (I only use it when my nose is stuffy!) It still has a lot of natural ingredients, and it does clean my hair (thus the two stars). It doesn't work very well for my dandruff, though. I'm really disappointed in Giovanni.

My hair is ultra-fine and incredibly damage-prone, so I was looking for a sulfate and paraben-free shampoo that would make my hair healthy again. This was recommended to me by a friend of mine who is a huge organic junkie, and I bought it because the price was reasonable and it was sulfate-free. Now, I'm a customer for life!

Reasons I LOVE this product:
- it's moisturized my scalp and make it flake-free
- my hair is naturally oily and I haven't seen any greasies since I started using this
- my fine hair is easily weighed down by products and this does a great job of cleaning everything away without stripping it dry

- the smell is clean and subtle, not too fragrant, which makes it great for anyone, including men!

- it's organic and cruelty-free
- can't beat the price for this kind of quality
- works on all types of hair (I have fine, wavy hair and this was recommended to me by my friend whose hair is thick and curly)
- because it doesn't have any sulfates in it (which often contribute to thinning hair), my fine hair has actually THICKENED since I've used this! :D I'm about to start on my second bottle of this amazing shampoo!
