I purchased this for my 10 yr old daughter who was going to compete in a figure skating event in Colorado. I was told it would take a while for her body to adjust to the altitude. She didn't have "time" as she had to train quickly while there. In my research I read about this product and how taking it a week before and during training in high altitude areas, it would help with performance. It most definitely did that! And I know, becuase my daughter was the only one taking it and she was not affected in the least with the altitude, whereas my husband and I were (and my husband is a triathlete). We both got headaches and were short of breath from simple walks and hikes. I will definitely keep this on hand!
