Because he's a mathematician and a runner, his opinion on this pedometer is useful to me in making my decision as to whether to keep using this pedometer. The answer is a DEFINITIVE YES!! So, Im happy all the way around -- especially considering this pedometer's low cost and ease of use. In fact, I'm buying another one -- for my sister -- soon as I finish writing this review. VS Most Liked Negative Review Just ok. I like to wear a pedometer just to get me to conscientiously walk more. My Omron pedometer is still the best one I've ever purchase, but it is so big and bulky. For it's inadequacies, this pedometer still does the job, it's small, and it fits snugly to my pants. However, it irritates me when I often push the reset button and it resets itself without my knowledge. The reset button should be recessed so that this won't happen. Comments about GNC Calorie Pedometer, 1 ea: Although it has a lot of functions, it was poorly constructed. After only five days of use, the thing stopped working, and the reset button wouldn't reset. I have used many brands of pedometers, and I decided to try this one because being GNC I thought it would be good. It's the worst pedometer I've ever owned. I usually get a few months out of a pedometer, since I use it daily for tracking my walking. I was sorely disappointed in this one, and have returned it for a refund.

Comments about GNC Calorie Pedometer, 1 ea: The pros outweigh the cons, however, the important item is accuracy. I thought it was clocking more steps than I was walking. I checked it when I was sitting watching TV or sitting at my computer, and it added steps while I was just sitting. If it had been a few steps, not a big problem. One day while I was doing a lot of computer work and not moving much, it had clocked over 5,000 steps. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Cons
Best Uses Comments about GNC Calorie Pedometer, 1 ea: Pro: compact size is great. Con: replacing battery is nearly impossible. Metal is too weak to hold up under the tiniest of screws so it quickly strips out. If you don't mind using it until the battery dies, then you're OK. Better to find something that allows you to change out the battery. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? By Anonymous from Undisclosed Comments about GNC Calorie Pedometer, 1 ea: I've had it for about a month. It reset itself several times. This morning I put it on, took it off mid afternoon and saw that it was frozen at 22.22.2 and all the arrows (cals, kms and miles) were selected. Pushing the reset and mode buttons did nothing. I even tried shaking it. The thing hasn't even turned off...it's probably waiting for its battery to die. (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? By Megan from Two Harbors, MN Comments about GNC Calorie Pedometer, 1 ea: It definitly does the job of calculating steps, however, the larger "mode" button (which needs to be pressed in order to show calories, miles, etc.) popped off in just two days. I now have to use a small sharp object to strategically poke in the right area to use this feature. Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 11/19/2005 This pedometer is ... By Anonymous from Undisclosed Comments about GNC Calorie Pedometer, 1 ea: This pedometer is inexpensive and effective. Comments about GNC Calorie Pedometer, 1 ea: This is the best and cheapest (especially with the GNC discount) pedometer I have ever used. I have gone through three fancy pedometers through the past two years and each of those averaged only about 1 month's use for me. All the other ones were very flimsy and would either fall in the commode or get lost. This one has a very good clip (hasn't fallen off yet) and I have had it for about three months now. It is very easy to use, no need to set anything up, goes into power save mode when not being used, or when you're stationary, and just an incredible value over all. Thanks GNC!
