DMAE works well to improve memory and alertness. I've been using it for 10 years. I don't need coffee anymore. I definitely notice an improvement in short-term memory and alertness.

I take 3 250 mg tablets a day. Take too many, and I get a mild headache just like too much coffee. I've never seen any side-effects worse than drinking too much coffee. It works much better than coffee. Coffee just makes me jumpy.

I get the impression that it will not help most people. I've always been a naturally drowsy person with a poor short-term memory.

P.S. DMAE actually crosses the blood/brain barrier unlike most other so-called memory improvement supplements.

I tried this to help improve focus and alertness. It made me light-headed, pale, and nauseous a few hours after taking 1. I tried it over 3-4 days, with and without food, 3 different times with the same effect.

Size and shape of tablet makes it difficult to swallow. Smaller size would encourage me to purchase again.
