Body cannot absorb > 750mg, so take twice/day (AM/PM). The glucosamine is the important component - chondroitin not necessary (but not harmful). The tablet is very large, rough & hard to swallow.

The medical/health prof'l community is still not sure about the benefits of this product. I just know that it keeps me from feeling arthritic pain in the knee joints.

Good proportion of Gl/Chon, but very hard to get down. I have to moisten it first, and then drink a lot of water afterward to avoid that "stuck in your throat" sensation. I'm switching to a softgel by another manufacturer.

I have rheumotoid athritis and my doctor recommended this vitamin with my medicication for my joints, and I must say it has helped me. He needed me to take this exact dosage of the vitamins and I preferred this one because you only have to take one tablet twice a day. I also get no side effects. The GNC product may be pricier then other similar products but it works and I get no bad side effects so I will continue using it.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
