Just turned 50 and started having hot flashes. My gyno who is opposed to HRT suggested I try Black Cohosh. After using it for almost a month I am having many fewer and less severe flashes so I feel like it is working. I have not had any side effects from it either. I first looked at a local health food store (not GNC) and their product was really expensive. Decided to order from drugstore.com and got a much better price and free shipping. I do think quality of these products varies so you shouldnt always just buy the cheapest and I believe GNC has good quality.

Very pleased with this product - it really has reduced my hot flashes by about 60 percent, and I feel more alert when using it. I tried a 540-mg capsule that didn't work as well and also upset my stomach. I've had no side effects with this one.

GNC Herbal Plus Black Cohosh is almost perfect in controlling my menopause symtoms, such as hot flashes. As a matter of fact, I find it to be the only brand with a higher efficacy than other brands of black cohosh.

Just make sure that it's standardized and not fingerprint on the label.

Because I take prescription medications, I like that there is no contraindication with this herb.
