Comments about GNC L-Lysine 500, Vegetarian Tablets, 250 ea: We take 2000mg daily and it keeps my husbands mouth sores at bay and it keeps my shinglles outbreaks at bay. The GNC brand is the most effective as I have tried others brands and they don't do the job. Pros

Comments about GNC L-Lysine 500, Vegetarian Tablets, 250 ea: My family has always been prone to cold sores in the mouth. Regular use of Lysine bolsters the imune system and totally prevents these painful irritations. It can also be used when they occur to heal them in a few days, but I prefer to take it all the time. It's an essential amino acid, just a normal nutrient and does no harm to the body. Pros

Comments about GNC L-Lysine 500, Vegetarian Tablets, 250 ea: I am an on-again off-again user of l-lysine. I primarily use it for cold sore prevention, and when I am in a streak of not getting them, I tend to stop taking the l-lysine. However, after a few years now of not getting any cold sores, I seem to be getting them again -- which I am blaming it on the climate, I relocated to the south and I go from extreme weather during the course of just one day, where it starts off in the 20s or 30s and by the end of the day, it's in the 70s. This is usually when I see cold sores start to break out. Anyway, I know a lot of people know about l-lysine and that it helps prevent cold sores, but I know a lot of people DO NOT, because it doesn't exactly say that on the back of the bottle. So, if you are one of those people who gets cold sores and are looking for something to help prevent them, I suggest you give l-lysine a try! Displaying reviews 1-3 ![]() |
