I recently had a total hysterectomy. I'm 47. I do not want to take hormones for hot flashes. I read that an increase in soy products could help with the hot flashes. I began taking 1, 50mg soy supplement a day. I went from 10-15 hot flashes a day to 3 or 4 a day. It is my opinion that the soy supplement helped greatly.

A soy supplement without a lot of other questionable additives. Works as well as a more expensive store brand, and no little foil-backed packaging to poke through!

Soy metabolizes out of your system in 8-12 hours. After reading this I increased the dosage to 2 times a day. 1 capsule at breakfast and one at dinner. It now works great. Prior to this I was taking one a day of a [...] house brand for about a month which did not seem to be helping all that much. For the same price GNC has 3 times the capsules as the [...] package. Started taking this 1 capusle, 2 times a day and within 1-2 weeks the hot flashes were gone. I have not had any side effects from the soy that I am aware of.

I have been taking soy supplements for about five years now. It has actually postponed "official" menopause; I still have regular cycles. In addition, the light hair loss I was experiencing stopped, my PMS vanished, and my cholesterol levels have been greatly improved (it did not lower the "bad" but highly increased the "good" levels, greatly improving the overall ratio).

I have found this product to be of no value. I previously had tried another soy product, which was more expensive, but was effective. I will be returning to the previous product.

I used the Soy Isoflavone concentrate about a year ago and when I ran out I didn't repurchase because it was so expensive. I was having a lot of hot flashes and was very hot at night. About three months ago I bit the bullet and bought another bottle. No more night sweats, and I am very comfortable at night while I sleep. I will continue to buy it.
