I didn't notice the product taking affect at all. The directions on the bottle don't say how far in advance of meals to take it. I took 2 an hour before each meal and I didn't feel full on less. I feel like the fat absorbing capabilities did come into affect, but not enough to be noticeable. I wouldn't get this again.

Chitosan (made from shellfish) absorbs 3.65g of fat per gram of Chitosan, when potentiated by Vitamin C (using 1g of C to 3g of Chitosan) only when taken 30 minutes before eating, with plenty of water (maybe 8oz per 1g of Chitosan, or more). When you decide on pizza or ice cream, check the food label and adjust your fat-grabber Chitosan according to your portion size! You can find it just a bit cheaper if you search, but you'll [...] take more pills (usually 1/2 g per pill); I buy this one! Take your medications and/or supplements when you're not taking Chitosan with the meal (I eat a good breakfast and lunch, so I can let go a bit for dinner). I eat less after Chitosan, and it stays with me so I don't snack before bedtime. Great stuff!

I decided to find Chitosan because I read in a self help medical book that it asorbed part of the fat intake during a meal. Also helps you feel full more quickly. I just started using GNC Chitosan With Glucomannan Capsules. I don't know yet about how much fat is being absorbed by it but let me tell you. It really makes my stomach feel very full after only eating for a few minutes. So I am very pleased. Be sure to follow directions and don't use if your are allergic to shellfish. Thanks.
