I began taking this product after my doctor recommended them for post menopausal breast tenderness, which I was very glad to hear was NOT cancer. I was skeptical at first and reluctant to try any kind of herbal medicine as I believe my body will heal itself naturally. But having already given up caffeine and chocolate and getting little relief, I ordered a bottle and began taking two a day (one in the morning and one at night) about two weeks ago. Within a week I was sleeping better, able to fall asleep and stay asleep. The tenderness in my breasts doesn't wake me up like it used to. Not all the pain is gone but enough for me to say this product definitely works. I read on the Internet that it takes up to 4 months for this herbal to become completely effective, so I continue to take them. A side benefit of taking night primrose is calmness and I do feel like I am a bit more calm, now able to switch off my thoughts and go to sleep more quickly. I had largely gotten over the menopausal hot flashes/power surges but I was still experiencing a few at night. I believe they have decreased in frequency, helping me to stay asleep instead of waking up to toss back the covers, then later having to drag them up again. I take heart medicine and the active ingredient does not override the effectiveness of that drug which is a problem with some other menopausal herbals like black cohosh. The only problem I can see with these soft gels is that they are huge. They would be difficult to swallow if you easily choke on large pills. I would recommend this product as an aid to post menopausal symptoms.

I started using evening primrose oil several years ago when it was recommended by a certain popular TV doctor for breast tenderness. I took it daily and in about 3 months I noticed a difference. Not only did the monthly pain subside, but my skin, nails, and hair also looked better. (I can finally grown my nails long without breakage.) Seems to help my moods also at that time of the month. I highly recommend to anyone looking to end breast pain.

Where has this product been all my life! I take one in the morning every single day and a week before my period starts I add one in the evening. Amazing. My moods are so much better, life is so much easier to deal with, I get all my omegas, and when it's "that time of the month", my periods are no where near as painful and hard to deal as they once were. I love it!

I take one capsule daily with my other medications. I started taking this to help with PMS symptoms. It helped me most by preventing acne breakouts associated with hormonal changes during my cycle.

I suffer from chronic breast pain and very fibrous hard breast tissue. I heard that evening primrose oil, kelp with iodine, and a comfy bra would help so I purchased all of the above. I've been using them for about 3 weeks and it only took a few days before I felt a huge difference. There are actually moments where my breasts aren't hurting and I haven't had that lack of pain in almost 2 years! I'm glad I got this huge container so they'd last a while :) Huge fan of this stuff.

I use primrose daily. I am at the age where my skin is thinning and I have noticed that this helps with that. I have gone without for a month or so and noticed my thinning skin is worse without the evening primrose.

GNC Women's Evening Primrose Oil 1300, Softgel Capsules

                     - For decades, people have used evening primrose oil as a folk remedy for multiple conditions. Now, scientists have uncovered that this North American flowering plant is rich in key nutrients that play an important role in a healthy diet. If your doctor has recommended that you add an evening primrose oil supplement to your diet, GNC Women's Evening Primrose Oil 1300, Softgel Capsules are an excellent choice due to their potency and purity.

A Cold Pressed Formula for Potency

Evening primrose oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids, particularly gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA), but this nutrient can become denatured when exposed to high heat. GNC Women's Evening Primrose Oil 1300, Softgel Capsules are manufactured with a cold pressing technique, which does not expose the evening primrose oil to high temperatures. As a result, each capsule provides 100 milligrams of gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) with maximum potency. You can see the difference when you examine one of the easy-to-swallow gel capsules, which has a distinctive dark color not found in inferior supplements.

A Pure Solution for Your Diet

Each of the GNC Women's Evening Primrose Oil 1300, Softgel Capsules provides you with only high quality evening primrose oil. No artificial colors, preservatives or flavoring agents have been added to the formula. In addition, the capsules are free of common digestive irritants and ingredients that could conflict with certain diet plans, including sugar, starch, sodium, corn, wheat, dairy, yeast, soy and gluten. This makes the capsules an ideal addition to many healthy diets and a remarkably pure solution for evening primrose supplementation.

A Trusted Name in Dietary Supplements

GNC has been helping people live well since 1935. The company's dietary supplement line is developed under the supervision of a Medical Advisory Board, and all of the products produced by the brand are manufactured in accordance with strict quality standards.
