I could never figure out the best time of day to use this product. Early morning, lunch, evening, etc. All doses kept me awake at night. I had to stop using it before I noticed any positive results.

They do smell a little, but what vitamin doesnt? after reading the previous reviews, I believe the reason these have a weird smell is because of the the added natural vanilla flavor. Then again the smell of vanilla makes me queasy. I suggest taking these with orange juice in the morning with a small breakfast for anyone that has a sensitive stomach or that has a problem with the odor. I also suggest drinking plenty of water through out the day. I have noticed if I take them without food the scent will linger. I use to take the GNC Women's Ultra Mega (in the pruple box) and I have been taking these and the GNC's evening primrose oil for about 6 months. I am fairly active (3+ hrs a day,5 days a week), and I really appreciate the energy and metabolism blend. I honestly think they are a really great multi-vitamin.

Yes, these do have an odor, and like all GNC's vitamins are a large size that is not very comfortable to swallow. The taste is slightly more unpleasant than usual. However, I'm a longtime user of GNC's vitamins, and these are my favorite ones. The Energy blend really does wake you up, perfect if you take your vitamins in the morning. They wake you up without having the crashing effects of coffee. I also notice that my stomach is a tiny bit flatter when I take them, so I believe they do stimulate your metabolism a little. They have all the same nutrients as the other Ultra Mega blends as well, so you're not missing out on any nutrients.
Personally, I take only one a morning, with a strong juice like grapefruit or orange to wash out the taste. With GNC vitamins, I usually mix and match: I take one of these, and one Ultra Nourish-Hair every morning. Due to the caffeine in these, taking two at a time can make me edgy, so anyone sensitive to caffeine might want to take note of that.

These big horse pills are literally WAY too large for me personally to take. They tend to get stuck in my throat.
I probably won't buy these again for that one fact alone.
Next time, I will buy a GNC multi-vitamin CAPLET (which should be a lot smaller and much more tolerable to swallow!)
I am not sure if I had more energy or not after taking these pills ...since I only took them for 1 month. So, I guess I didn't really notice. And ~ since I'm not able to take them because they are so large; I guess I will never find out!
Also, upon opening this vitamin bottle; I immediately noticed a really strange odor. I don't know what in the pills could have made them stink like that. At first, I thought that there might have been something wrong with them. But I decided that they were probably fine; and I did end up finishing all of the pills for the month....
The main reason why I wouldn't recommend these pills to anyone is because of how B I G they are. (Thus -- the potentiality of getting stuck in one's throat. .....Not a good feeling......

Within a week of taking these I could tell a difference in my energy level. They seem to be a great multivitam. The only reason I didn't rate them a 5 is because of the smell. GNC needs to work on that issue!!!

These seem to work pretty well for me, although the smell is really strong. They don't taste that bad, just the smell when you crack open the bottle is about the only drawback.

Within the first week I noticed that I had more energy after taking these vitamins. The only thing I don't like about them is the strong smell they have. I would buy these again.

They work fine, and do what they promise but the smell is so powerful. The bottle itself about made me gag when I opened it. It makes my urine smell so bad that its embarassing, and even after washing I can still smell the urine smell. I have never had a vitamin linger with me all day before. I have taken a vitamin everyday since I became a mother 10 years ago but this one I HAVE to quit taking. Stinky!!
