This is simply the best beef jerky I have ever had. I'm a huge fan of jerky, & I've tried many brands & varities of flavors. I've tried the original flavor of Golden Valley jerky as well, but I find the teriyaki to be more pleasing to my palate. That aside, I have also been disappointed upon a few of my orders' arrivals when the jerky has been (as stated in the first review) fatty or very brittle. However, more often than not, it's been great. I would definitely recommend this, despite its occasional issues, because I'm telling you, it's so very tasty!

I wasn't very impressed by the taste of this jerky. I'm a big fan of the turkey jerky, so I thought I would try the beef. Unfortunately, I felt this didn't meet my taste expectations. It's definitely tougher to chew (which may or may not be a downside, depending on how you like your jerky). But there was a definitely "fishy" or taste to the flavor that I didn't like very much. I just kept looking at the ingredients and wondering - why does this taste fishy? I'll stick with the delicious turkey jerky instead.

This product is hit or miss - I've had some packs that were really good, while others have had excessive fat or the jerky has been very dry and brittle. When its edible, the flavor is great.
