Indications
Controls the symptoms of diarrhea, including Travelers' Diarrhea.
Warnings
Allergy alert: Do not use if you have ever had a rash or other allergic reaction to loperamide HCI
Do not use if you have bloody or black stool
Ask a doctor before use if you have:
fever
mucus in the stool
a history of liver disease
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking antibiotics
When using this product: tiredness, drowsiness or dizziness may occur. Be careful when driving or operating machinery
Stop use and ask a doctor if:
symptoms get worse
diarrhea lasts for more than 2 days
you get abdominal swelling or bulging. These may be signs of a serious condition
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

I was very skeptical if this would work as well as it's brand-name equivalent, Imodium A-D. I was brought up to believe never, EVER buy a non-brand name product. But Imodium A-D is currently unavailable for some reason, so I was desperate t find a replacement, and this was it. Most definitely, the lower price impressed me. And the ingredients on the box are EXACTLY alike. Still skeptical, I used this & found that it actually worked FASTER than the brand-name does. It worked nearly immediately, whereas the brand one could take up to a couple of hours to completely take effect. I had absolutely no side effects, and I was completely "healed" within a matter of minutes. Terrific product at a terrific price.

Good price on this Generic product that works same as the brand name does. On occasion I get the runs so to speak and this is a go to item. If however I take it....no matter how much to get control of the bad situation I almost always have a bad constipation day following. So I can't down grade this product for that counter action but it's almost as bad as the other at times. Basically I avoid getting into a rondo with this situaton. I'll bulk up on fiber and probiotics while taking this and for a few days following to help out with the one side effect. It doesn't always happen too. This works for me and it varies in it's response time and how much as each event varies to some degree too. Overall if you are looking to stock up on this medication this is a good price.
Drink plenty of clear fluids to help prevent dehydration, which may accompany diarrhea.
Adults and children 12 years of age and older: 2 caplets after the first loose stool; 1 caplet after each subsequent loose stool; but no more than 4 caplets a day in 24 hours
Children 9-11 years (60-95 lbs): 1 caplet after the first loose stool; 1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose stool; but no more than 3 caplets in 24 hours
Children 6-8 years (48-59 lbs): 1 caplet after the first loose stool and 1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose stool; but no more than 2 caplets in 24 hours
Children under 6 years old (up to 47 lbs): Ask a doctor.
