This is a safe alternative to Unisom, and has exactly the same active ingredient (dosage & all), for less than half the price of the "name brand". If Unisom doesn't work for you, then expect the same with this. I use it occasionally as an "add-on", for those nights when neither Excedrin PM and/or Ambien are working. Chances are, if you use this product for more than a few nights in a row, your body will adapt to it, and it won't work as well, if at all. The first night that I took it, it worked beautifully. The second night, I slept okay, but didn't fall asleep nearly as quickly & woke up more through the night. If you're a real "lightweight" when it comes to pills (which I'm most definitely not), this may work fine for you. If you're used to narcotics, sleeping pills or other strong pills, this may not do anything for you. I'm a very serious insomniac & I have an extremely high tolerance for medicine, so I'm probably not the average consumer. However, I doubt this would work for perpetual insomnia, on an indefinite basis.

Makes me sleep better than benadryl with less dry mouth and dry eyes. If I use a whole one too late at night, I have a little morning grogginess.

I am elderly and have had a difficult time getting a goodnight's sleep for years. I have tried it seems everythingoff ot the shelves and some prescription. Recently afriend told me about ths product. Actually she had gottenthe [...] brand and I checked around to see if Icould find it in another brand-the same thing. It is exactlythe same thing. I take one or two probably about halfan hour before bed and I glide off to sleep very easily. IfI wake up in the middle of the night for anything, I cango back to sleep just as easily. It is very inexpensive tohave such great results. Also you do not wake up witha headache or something that seems like a hangover.I would use this over any prescription or other overthe counter products..
