Good design but this was too big to hold my hair effectively. Just have to keep experimenting to see how I can use it.

I have a hard time finding barrettes that will hold my long, thick, wavy hair. My career requires me to wear my hair pinned up with a barrette that matches my hair color. This one does the job. I hope Goody isn't discontinuing it!

I bought this so I could put my hair up while driving. I wanted a secure hold with no "lumpy" uncomfortable feeling when putting my head on the headrest.
It did not work for me-- hair just slid out of it.

I have straight, thick hair and wanted something to just pull my hair out of my way at home so neatness doesn't really count. Even with my thick hair, this clip doesn't hold my hair up for too long. With additional use it gets worse as it stretches out!

The pictures on the packaging are mostly curly hair so I imagine it would hold wavy/curly hair much better.

Mine came in brown which is ok, but I would like to have had a choice. In the past, I have had to order multiples to get all the color choices when hair items are sold without color choice.

I can't really mark "recommend to a friend" since that depends soley on what her hair is like!

This thing is amazing. I'm so used to those claw clips that move around and eventually fall out, and those give me headaches! This one is perfect. It's comfortable, keeps all of my hair twisted up all day without moving, and doesn't give me a headache. I'm gonna stock up on these!

I started wearing these after buying at [@] and then they were discontinued at the store and other major drug stores. I have long baby fine hair and didn't want to damage with hair ties,etc. Then I started a quest to find them because I LOVED these,easy to put my hair up and no metal to cut or tangle in your hair. Thank goodness I found on Drug store.com.I bought five,may order more to stock up!

I started wearing more clips because ponytails were damaging my hair and pulling it out. This clip provides a secure and gentle hold. I forget it's there because it's so lightweight. I only ordered one the first time around, but I'm definitely going to order several more.

I have very long wavy hair. Sometimes just putting my hair in a pony tail or a bun makes my scalp sore or gives me a headache. Not with this barrette! I can put my hair up and it stays up with no additional strain or pain. It is so easy to use! Just push the bar down to open it, place barrette around your hair and then lift the bar back through to close. I use the Goody Ouchless Hair Elastics to make the pony then wind my hair up and clamp it with this barrette. I have even fallen sleep wearing this barrette and have never felt any discomfort! I just ordered three more to make sure I don't run out of these.
