The ad copy should contain a warning that you'll not necessarily get the product as pictured. Personally I found the green quite appealing but received one in a putrid shade of purple, a color I simply cannot abide but at [$] bucks it's not worth returning. Otherwise, I like the brush and I'm expecting decent durability since the tips seem to be a molded-on part of the bristle, not a ready-to-fall-off add on like so many others. My Conairs have been particularly bad in this regard of late.

I have VERY mixed feelings about this brush!! At first, I loved it... best brush i'd ever used. The "jelly" handle feels really nice in your hand...especially if you're using this to blow dry your hair. Also, the bristles are a nice thickness and stiffness.. even with my very, very thick hair.

Now for the drawback, and it's HUGE!! I strongly DO NOT recommend this brush if you are intending to use it for styling. Vented brushes are usually wonderful when trying to straighten hair with your blow dryer but the bristles fall out of this one if you use high heat. At first, i thought it was a fluke, so I bought several more brushes. Sometimes when I find a product I like, I stock up since so often products are discontinued. But every brush I bought does the same thing. I found bristles all over my bathroom floor!! :( I was very disappointed because I do love this brush. It feels very sturdy and good in the hand...but again, if you're using high heat with it for an extended period of time, DO expect the bristles to fall out. I've never experienced anything like this before.

I have remedied the issue by using another brush for the first 3/4 of my blow out and I only use this brush to finish up. The other brush isn't as good, but the bristles can withstand the high heat.

Bottom line, I recommend this brush if you aren't planning to use it solely as a styling tool. If you are, try a different one. Con-air makes some nice ventilated brushes that CAN withstand the heat.
