I gave this product a 2 star "needs improvement" rating because I'm not sure it does what it advertises, protect your hair from heat. Somehow I doubt products like this that you can buy for under $10 actually work. However, the smell is AMAZING (if there was a body lotion with this scent I'd use it) and my hair does feel a bit softer. So if you're looking for something to make your hair smell and feel great, this is for you. If you have considerably damaged hair like me and need something for real protection against heat - I wouldn't recommend this.

I thought this would be similar to their guardian angel line of protectant lotions, so perhaps I came into using it bias. It just didn't work as well for me as their other products. The spray aspect of the bottle is pointless, because the viscosity of the product is so thick you have to put it in your hands and work through. Spraying it directly on the hair is out of the questions, especially if you have thin or fine hair. I didn't get soft, manageable hair. I'll stick with their other products.

For the people who comment that it is too sticky and use over 4 sprays, put no more than 4 sprays into your hand. Sometimes I use only 3. Plus, it is not supposed to be sprayed on the head. Rub it into the palms of your hands, and then rub it only on the ends, not on the roots.(I have short layered hair so it's easy to get to the ends).

This product states "Works with heat of your blow dryer and flat iron", for me only part of that was true, after blow drying no real change in hair texture and no straightening was apparent, only after using it with an intense heat flat iron it became somewhat effective. I needed a heat protection product and a keratin ingredient for my hair, which this item claims to be and have, but it defeats the purpose of being a shield and moisturizer if you have to basically cook your hair. I appreciate the keratin, but this product needs work.

Okay so i used this one morning at my friends house before school . ( in middle school yes i know young ) Adn then straightened my hair . which was wavyish to begin with ( bed hair ) And oh my god it's amazing it smells fantastic and feels like liquid silk while in your hands .It smooths your hair like so well and is so soft . I am obsessed with beauty . ( i'm a beauty guru on [@] so yeah ) and I used this like 6 months ago and have beeen hunting it down forever ( FINALLY FOUND IT . I would have asked my friend but we aren't friends anymore ) And i live in Vegas where it is very very hot and dry and it's amazing and i plan on using this for my trip to Cali tomorrow in humidity to see how it works . That fact that i used it so long ago and never forgot about it is amazing . Great !

If you love the chi iron guard but you hate the price, buy this one! It does the job and the smell is so good!

I saw this on a morning TV show as an example of something you can use to protect your hair from your flat iron. It also helps to straighten your hair and leaves it very silky and soft. I love this stuff. The only bad thing about it is the nozzle doesn't spray very well so I end up spraying it on my hands, rubbing them together, then distributing it all over my hair. I have very curly hair and there's a huge difference in texture when I straighten my hair using this stuff vs. when I don't use it.
