When I decided to try Grandpa's Shea Butter Soap, I expected it to be yet another product that would end up disappointing me, but I was more than pleasantly surprised at the results. I don't find the smell manly or offensive (even though the bar itself smells fairly potent), it soothes my skin rather than irritating it (including soothing normal skin issues like razor burn, winter weather itchiness, etc.), it makes my skin feel more balanced in respect to moisture without feeling oily. I would highly recommend it. A bar does not last forever though, much like most other natural soaps, but considering the price, I'm not overly bothered by that. I always try to buy products from companies that DO NOT participate in animal testing. In the past, I've had problems with organic/cruelty free soaps not lathering as expected, but this soap lathers great. I just wish it was a little cheaper. I wanted to try something new so I bought this one and have nothing bad to say about it. The scent is beautiful and it does its job. I would highly recommend this product! I love this soap! It smells very pleasant when using. I listed as 4 stars instead of 5 because the scent is super-faint after you rinse. Some people might see this as a positive, while others might want the scent to linger. All in all, this is a great soap that doesn't dry out your skin, and does not leave you sticky or oily.
