It is the one soap that my husband can use; he cannot tolerate most scents of soap, and most have scents; this one is truly is made for the hypoallergic folks. As a bonus, it cleans well, and does not melt away. It does not smell badly either; there's not much smell at all. In general this is the one soap that meets all requirements. Here we live in a heavily populated surburban area, and this soap is nowhere around here. It seems like the only way we can find it is to mail order it from Drugstore.com. It's mild and unscented, but the little bit of baking soda makes it a very effective cleanser. It can be a bit hard to hold in the shower, but that's a very minor inconvenience in such a nice soap. I love that there's no scent, that it lathers up real nice, and since I have an oily complexion, it feels clean and smooth. I use it in conjunction with Queen Helene's Mint Julep Facial Scrub (I use the scrub in the morning and at night and if I need a pick me up in the afternoon or evening, I'll use Grandpa's soap). I've read that for certain people it doesn't last very long. I would agree if one uses it twice a day everyday, but like I stated above, I mainly use it to remove makeup or just for a quick wash after a workout or on a hot day -- plus I only use this on my face. I would recommend storing it in a dry place or getting one of those travel soap holders (the ones that have a lid). And it would also help to use it along with another product, like I do. Pros

The baking soda makes it clean even better than usual soap. It has mild exfoliating quality like baking soda does with its gentle scrub properties in a soap form. Its not painful or rough. Its just what I wanted.It has NO smell at all, just like it says "unscented." If more people bought it maybe the price would go down or it would be available in stores all over. I haven't tried the other soaps in the Grandpa's line, but I wonder now what they are like.I gave it 4 stars not 5 stars because it is not a bargain, and I am not used to paying [$] [...] for one bar of soap. I don't use it on my face, just my body. It's super mild and doesn't have much of a scent and it lathers up great and rinses clean. Try it out! Pros

I particularly love the way that it's a great deodorant soap also since baking soda has natural deodorizing property. I just wish I can just make one of these homemade 'cause it's a bit pricey for it's size and shape.
