The challenge has been getting him to swallow some of these larger pills. I have tried disguising them in bread, peanut butter, hotdogs....all work sometimes, but often he eats everything but the pill. I have tried pill cutters and crushers with hit or miss success. I was skeptical about pill pockets as they do not seem like anything spectacular, but THEY WORK LIKE A CHARM! My dog swallows it and the pill as if I just gave him a yummy treat (no trick). Not sure why they work so well, but they do. Although they are a little costly for what you get in the bag, they save me time getting my dog to take his medicine and my buddy gets the relief he needs to enjoy his senior years. These pill pockets are quite convenient (no searching the fridge to see what I can use to disguise the pill). When I opened the bag the smell was really like real chicken. I can use as much or as little of the pocket as I need.. They stay fresh and I've already ordered more. If anyone is on the fence about trying them, I'd say go for it. Drugstore.com has the best and fasted delivery of any where I have done online shopping. My orders always are well packed. I am very pleased. Use so many with 2 x daily meds I had to start cutting them up to cut down on cost but definitely cheaper through drugstore.com & watch for sale. Not crazy about pouch but no real problems.

I buy the large size pill pocket and break it apart and roll it over additional pills. My dog loves the taste of the chicken over the beef. We buy the larger size pockets and pinch off just enough to cover the pill since they are very malleable. We are able to get 4-5 pills covered with each pocket which is much more economical than buying the small dog or cat size! Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful?
