When he was diagnosed with a condition that required pilling twice/day, I was devastated. The process was awful for both of us. Then a friend suggested trying Greenies pill pockets. My cat adores the salmon flavored ones and never refuses to eat one. I can get him to do just about anything now by just offering him his "treat". What a great product! I find the pill pockets very handy for giving pills, even though only one of them will actually take the pocket without being coerced. Some cats like them, but have trouble chewing them--seems to get stuck in their teeth. But even if you have to pill the cat directly, I think it makes it easier for the cat to swallow the pill. Drugstore's price is one of the best I've seen. A little tip--you can cut the pockets in half, making them go twice as far, unless you are giving a large pill. I really wouldn't want to be without them. He would take other treats once and then refuse the next time. We've been using these for several weeks and he is still chomping them down. Worth every penny. The pockets are so easy to use - just put the pill in the hole and then squish the pocket around it making a ball. The cat will eat it quickly and doesn't even notice there is a pill in there. My cat is on regular thyroid medication and I was dreading the thought of having to force feed him medication every day. Service and delivery comments: Drugstore.com is always great with shipping. I live close to a distribution center and get my order within 1-2 days every time. They also have great customer service. Every time I've had a problem with my order they have remedied the situation with no trouble at all. Crushing them in food doesn't work and force feeding the pills is not an option. Thank goodness for pill pockets! She is into her 4th week of pills and eagerly gobbles up her pockets every morning and nite. And drugstore.com has the best value, price-wise!
