THE TRIX: You have to wait for hair to be about 1/8 to 1/4 inch long. Warm these between hands before separating and sing. Sticky stuff stays behind, but comes off so easy with baby oil (which soothes skin too). Strips will miss some stubborn hairs on my face, but I can grab those with a tweezers. Left a sticky residue like most of the other complaints, but babyoil does do the trick. I just hate putting any babyoil on my face when using it for my upper lip and eyebrows. Product needs improvement. Oh, your hairs have to be pretty long/thick for this to work effectively... if it's short/ fine, you'll definitely have to run the strip over and over to be effective, which may lead to opening another unused strip to clean up whats left behind. I got wax stuck on my upper lip and nothing helped to get it off. I scrubbed my skin off trying to gently remove it. Awful product, don't buy it. I like the fact that they come in a couple of sizes, so you can use them on your eyebrows, sideburns, chin, moustache (yes I'm hairy!) and even on your armpits. The strips are very easy to use, you just warm them up by rubbing them in your palms, peel them apart, apply and yank. This product gets 4 stars only because they tend to leave a residue behind. I was surprised that there were no stray hairs at all, especially because the hair was so short, I had trimmed it recently. Very smooth skin now, very pleased. I battled facial hair for years with bleach, cream depilitories (stinky!), shaving (in moments of desperation), and tweezing, tweezing, tweezing. The wax strips set me free. They remove the unwanted hair, and exfoliate my skin too, leaving me soft and smooth. (The sticky residue comes off easily with a dab of Neutrogena Body Oil, which also soothes the skin). When the hair begins to grow back-- about a week for me--it is soft, not stubbly. The down side is that you have to let the hairs grow fairly long (though not full-length) before rewaxing, or the wax won't grab them. Also, at the price, the strips aren't cheap. The residual wax is more than "residual" - it was ALL of the wax. And removing it took a near act of Congress, leaving my chin raw and excessively sore. Much quicker and simpler than depilatories (I have not-too-many fairly fine hairs on my upper lip; I'm not sure how it would work with more or coarser hair.) The only negative is that it tends to leave some wax behind, but it is washed off fairly easily. I have even used this 20 minutes before a date and had no redness by the time I went out. As I've been disappointed in the past with wax products that simply weren't effective for my hair type. I pleasantly surprised with the ease of use and effectiveness of this product. It removed all the hair in my upper lip and between my brows effortlessly. It really worked!! I only rated it 4 stars because it does leave behind quite a bit of residual wax. To remove the residual wax I used Pond's cold cream makeup remover. This did the trick wonderfully, and removed all the residual wax easily. I had high hopes of this product when purchasing it and wanted it to remove fairly noticeable facial hair. Unfortunately, it removed almost nothing and left wax on my upper lip. It's really easy to use on the upper lip (which is where I mostly use them). It gets rid of all the hairs, even the teeny tiny ones that the salon couldn't even remove! The only reason I give it a four is because it takes 2 or 3 of the double sided strips to remove upper lip hair in one sitting. Otherwise, no complaints. Great product. I highly recommend it.
