wet hair and apply liberally.  massage into scalp, working through from roots to ends.  to minimize tangling, squeeze and pull hair in one direction, out and away from the scalp.  for deeper cleansing, leave on 15-20 minutes.  rinse thoroughly and follow with quench or nourishment conditioner.
