This a good chewy treat or reward for dogs or cats which like fish. I like the fact that's it's a pure food item, and not full of fillers or artificial flavors that pets don't need. I have cats and I thought they would like this, and they do, but they are much more enthusiastic about the chicken variety, which breaks and crumbles much more easily. I find that the salmon pieces are on the tough side and difficult to chew or crumble into smaller bits, so you might want to be careful giving the larger pieces to a smaller pet. It's also fishy smelling (it's pure fish, after all!), but not objectionable.

Our dog a shitzu(sp) has severe allergies and with this product she not only loves them, she has no problem with the allergies.

I decided to try this because I watch Ellen Degeneres and I know this is her company, or she is affiliated with it in some way, shape or form. I got the Salmon. It's a very small container for [$]. I have four cats and one German shepherd dog. I give it to the dog, but not everyday. It really smells, but it is good for her coat and heart. I buy my pets very good food, but this is too expensive to get on a regular basis. I also have very painful arthritis in my hands and wrist. This was very hard to open.

These snacks are fantastic for our cats which are on a grain-free diet. They will need to be cut into smaller pieces to protect against choking since "the boys" tend to gobble them down so fast. A little goes a long way, and since it's 100% salmon we feel good about treating.

Both of my cats turned up their noses to this treat. I repeatedly tried to get them to try it but neither one would budge. Wasted money.

Some chunks are way to big for cats so breaking it apart is recommended for safety, because they seem a bit tough since it is dehydrated meat, like a jerky. Most of our Cats LOVE these and will run to us if we just shake the container. A fun treat.

Both cats love these treats, although our small cat has trouble chewing the larger pieces. Now I always break apart the chunks. One cat has chicken allergies, so it's great to find a treat with no chicken in it (hard to do!). I'll buy these for them again.
