We have used the chicken for a year now and I decided to get the beef because we get the beef in other treats. The chicken has never made my cats sick, but the beef did. We gave our cats a couple of the beef treats and a few minutes later my cat started throwing it up. I will stick to the chicken from now on. Beef must be too strong for cats.

My very finicky cat who also has chronic kidney disease likes these very much. My vet told me to give him anything he'll eat so I give these to him when he won't eat other foods.

My cats absolutely come running from anywhere in the house when they hear the word "treat" or see the Halo jar. They absolutely love the chicken, beef and salmon treats. They even "ask" for them and I understand their special request sounds. This is a treat they never tire of and one I can give with no guilt!

I recently adopted a 3 year old chihuahua and although she LOVES her dog food, she didn't seem to care much for treats. I bought soo many different kinds of treats for her and with every single brand/flavor/texture, it seemed like she just wasn't all that interested. She'd paw at them and nibble slowly. Sometimes she'd nibble at them and then just leave them on the floor!

I ordered these (in the chicken flavor) based on the excellent reviews and when they arrived, I opened them and took one of the treats out. It looked horrible. It smelled kind of fishy and it was dry like styrofoam or really brittle popcorn. I thought there was no way my dog would eat these. As I looked at the treat in disgust, my dog BOLTED to me and started BEGGING for the treat I was holding. I had never seen her beg like that before! She even started whining (which she has never done except when I leave for work). She kept licking her chops and started shaking, tried giving me puppy dog eyes, even yapped at me a couple times as if to say, "Come on lady, what do I need to do to get that treat from you?"

I don't know what it is, but my dog acts like a psycho for these treats and so far they're the ONLY treats I've found that she's willing to work for.

The only things I don't like are these treats are how dry and crumbly they are. The bottom 1/4 of the jar is literally just dust from the treats crumbling up so much. I also don't like that they need to be refrigerated once opened. It's inconvenient if you want to take treats with you to the park, or on the road.

My large GSD loves these. CONS: Very small jar and expensive.

My dogs hated this stuff. It is freeze dried maybe liver maybe not! Would never buy this again.

my little chihuahua has a very sensitive stomach and can't handle anything with wheat or corn in it. thsee are GREAT little treats for her. and she LOVES them. i swear they are like doggie crack!!!

adopted my dog only to find that he would not eat any treats i bought..got tired of waisting money buying differents treats only to throw them away. purchased halo after finding out it is all natural-not junk like other brands. my dog loves loves loves them. dont let price scare you..i give my dog 1 per day after our long walk so they last awhile.

I buy the chicken treats from Halo. My cats chew my fingers off for them, so I thought they would love the beef treats. Warning...these treats are super hard! I don't recommend them for most cats. My younger cat LOVES to bite and chew, so it was ok, but my older cat had a problem chewing it. Maybe try soaking them in water? I haven't tried that yet! Anyway, I'm sticking with the chicken flavor for the future-they're much much softer!
