Comments about Hamilton Beach Eclectrics All-Metal Stand Mixer, Model 63232, Carmine Red, 1 ea:
When I got my mixer in the mail I was very excited and removed it from the box as soon as I could. [...] I used the mixer the first day I had it (not needing the mixing shield) and was a little disappointed to see how it handled making bread. My counter space is very limited and finding a spot for it was somewhat difficult (not a drawback on the stand mixer, just poor planning on my part) after I turned the machine on to start kneading the bread it nearly walked off the counter and I had to hold it down. The hollow body of the mixer doesn't give it much weight to keep it in one place if the contents of the bowl are heaver than the mixer can handle. There is also the problem that the dough hook doesn't sweep the bottom of the bowl enough to draw the rest of the ingredients into the mix. I didn't have this issue when I made cookies though, so it might just be the dough hook. I am very happy with the style of locking that they use on this mixer's lift-able head and am happy that I purchased it. I would recommend this for anyone that is a lite cook like me and doesn't need a stand mixer for heavy duty baking. I fell in love with the look of the mixer on this site and am glad to say I love it even more sitting in my kitchen!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
