I mainly buy Hawaiian Tropic for the scent. I use it in the winter on days when I need a little pick me up (on vacation in my mind!), as well as "light sun" days in the months when I do need a little protection. While I like the way HT lotions rub in and feel on my skin, it is the scent that has brought me back to this product year after year. Last year I bought the HT in the lighter colored container and was horrified by the awful "flowery" stink of it...ended up giving it away. I did a little research and found out they now have TWO scents, and made darn sure I ordered the darker bottle with the familiar tropical scent. Except the scent is not the same! A bottle to bottle comparison from the bottle I bought the year before last (down to the dregs) made it pretty obvious to even my husband that they've changed something. This new bottle smells way more banana-y (and not in a good way) and a little yeasty with a bit of...not sure if I'd call it a peppery smell or reminds me a touch of bug spray. I mean, it isn't horrible and I will use it, but just really disappointing because I loved the original scent. It's going to be a long winter. :(
Shake well. Apply generously and evenly to all areas 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at frequent intervals and after swimming or towel drying. Ask a doctor before use on children under six months of age.
