we were going on vacation (in the sun), so i picked this up because i was drawn to the higher spf. i used it once, and gave it away. i anticipated a tropical flavor (maybe a little pineapple? perhaps some coconut?) the flavor was a bitter, medicinal taste. and i'm NOT a lip licker. so if *i* could taste the awful flavor, anyone could. i do not recommend this.

True Blue Spa from Bath & Body Works Watch Your Mouth SPF 45 was discontinued...had been buying for male members of family for use in sun, especially on their trips to Mexico...was thrilled to find your similar product - and for less money - to have for their trip last week. Bath & Body Works loss; even if they bring back, wil stick with your Hawaiian Tropic!

This lip balm smells good, kind of tropical-y. But it dries out much faster than any other kind of balm I've ever used. It's almost as if it's half water and it quickly evaporates, leaving your lips with a dry, sticky film on them. I was attracted to it for its high SPF, but the dry sticky feeling isn't worth it. This will be my emergency lip balm (ie, when I can't find anything else).

I LOVE everything Hawaiian Tropic makes. This lip balm has an SPF of 45, which is awesome and it not only smells and tastes fabulous, but is incredibly moisturizing and lasts forever! I also got the aloe one, but for some reason, that one was not impressive at all.

I have been using this lip balm for over 5 years and I love it! I was worried when they changed the packaging and formula, but I think the new version is even better than the previous one. Great for everyday use. Very moisturizing and not sticky or waxy feeling.

I use it after I apply my lip liner and before lipstick/gloss. However, if I'm out in the sun I'll reapply the Lip Balm pretty frequently. I ordered it due to the high SPF content hoping for the best but expecting a nasty tasting product. Boy was I surprised! Not only does it protect our sensitive lips from the cruel sun, it tastes and smells delicious! Fruity and sweet but not overbearing. Will reorder when I run out :)
