I bought this sunscreen for a recent Caribbean cruise and relied on it for sun protection for our family of five. First off, the positives: super easy to apply and not greasy or sticky.
And here are the negatives, from bad to worst: I could not stand the smell of this sunscreen, even though I love tropical scented products. Even worse, you have to totally coat the skin for it to be effective. A light misting will not do (as evidenced by my husband's completely sunburned back from a day at the beach -OOPS, my fault!).
If you totally saturate all skin areas with this sunscreen, it protects beautifully, however it will not last you even a week. In three days of use, we had completely used up the two bottles I brought on vacation (keep in mind, my three children are all under the age of 7 and are teeny little people). It's a good thing my mother brought her "old school" cream. All five of us used it on the last day, nobody burned, and she still went home with plenty leftover in her suitcase.
This is hands down my favorite sunblock. As a horseman, I have no choice but to be in the sun all day so I need a quality product and use many bottles per year. In my opinion and experience, this is the best sunblock I have ever used. It is not sticky, so it does not attract dirt and dust and my hair does not get stuck to it. Applies smoothly and quickly and since it is liquid, it is hard to miss a spot. It works great really keeps me from getting too much sun. Lasts all day, even when washing horses. Most importantly, I am very prone to getting migraine headaches from products that have too much fragrance, this product does smell strongly sweet (but not unpleasant) when applied but the smell quickly fades away. Love it and sincerely hope it is never discontinued.
