At first I was a little skeptical about using this sunblock at the pool or at the beach because it's a thinner consistancy than most other sunblocks I've used; I stuck mostly to using it as a lotion after I showered when I knew I'd be out and about all day. But I brought it with me on my recent Caribbean vacation, and it provided great protection from the sun. This lotion is non-greasy, light, and smells AMAZING - I can only hope Hawaiian Tropic doesn't switch up the formula any time soon, because this is the only sunblock I will be using while lounging by the pool or beach from now on!

I use this product on all my exposed skin in the morning as I get ready for the day. Whats great about it is that I dont have to spend alot of time rubbing it in, it goes in just like regular lotion. It also leaves a little tiny shimmer that just enhances my color; again, tiny, you really have to look close at my skin and know it is there to see it. It also smells nice, like coconuts, but really light, so I don;'t feel overwhelmed by the smell while I apply it or during the day which is great if you are sensitive to fragrance, but my husband always tells me I smell nice when I wear it and he is close to me. I have been told it smells like coconuts. What is not so ghreat about it is it gets really gross under the cap and builds up since it leaks out a bit after each use, so after a while when you open the cap (it is a cap downward bottle), sometimes you need to wipe off the opening with your finger to clean it off. Also, the ingredients aren't the best, as it has a palm oil derivative in the ingredients list that is rather high, so a major part of the product, and while it definitely contributes to the luxurious feel of the product, I don't see any indication that it is a sustainable palm oil product. I can't remember if the ingredients were available when I got it (if so, my bad), but I probably wouldn't repurchase because of that little detail, and definitely wouldn't have purchased it initially had I read them before i bought it.

i love this stuff! i love that way it applies, love the way it smells, love the way it works. it works almost too well. i've been using SPF 50 and it works so well i think it's kind of difficult to get a tan so i think i will try 30 next time. but i'd rather have young skin and no sunburns! ;)
