Offers outstanding sun protection, moisturizes skin very nicely, smells great, as well as feeling good on my skin both during work and work outs!
I live, work and work out in Florida. I love being outside as much as I can. I'm an ex-athlete who is very particular about the "feel" of sunscreens on my face, hands, and if it sweats out when you start to get warm. Just to underline how particular I am about this, keep in mind I essentially avoided sunscreens during my entire athletic career (yes, outdoor sport--my dermatologist is having a field day with me now). To finally find a 50 SPF product I can literally slather everywhere with no worries about product "feel" is just a blessed relief: face (no breakouts, not ever from this product...but I clean my face twice daily), over eyelids (please be a little careful in the eye area just because I've never had a problem doesn't mean you might not), neck, shoulders, back, legs, feet, and hands.
If you don't like the smell of Hawaiian Tropic, don't buy this. Me? I grew up on the beach and HT's scent is the best! For those reading this thinking, "But I'm going to be at work. I don't want to smell like I'm going to the beach!" Let me just say I have actually had colleagues comment on how nice I smell and when asked if the scent was too strong, they reply it's just a very fresh and clean scent. Even family and colleagues with allergies or sensitivities to scent have not had issue with this product.
Personally, I would not trust this produt in the water--regardless of being rated as waterproof (which really doesn't mean waterproof btw). I prefer BullFrog brand for water sports and have never had a burn with appropriate use--even snorkeling for hours (be logical, you have to reapply any sunscreens over time).
I use this product every day and enjoy it enough that I often use it before bedtime--even though I won't need SPF protection while I'm sleeping. It's a great moisturizing, light weight lotion--with excellent sun protection properties.
I bought this brand because I've used it in the past and liked it. I loved the smell, and it was on sale-[$] off a bottle. So I bought two. Even though I am highly skeptical that any sunscreen does more than an SPF 30 job. I took both bottles back for a refund-something I don't do often. When I put it on it smelled great and went on smoothly and not greasy. But [*] did it BURN!! And I do not on any way have sensitive skin. I can only imagine how this affects kids or those with skin allergies and sensitivities. I do not recommend this at all.
I can not stand sunscreen. They are always so thick and then you feel gross and sticky after applying it. I have tired so many different kinds and have always been disappointed. This one is awesome. I am stocking up for sure. It smells great...like coconut. It goes on light not thick, and it absorbs wonderfully so you don't feel like you need to take a shower right after applying it. Bonus....my son isn't whining when I try to put some on him when he goes out to play.
