It is not at all like the normal Head and Shoulders products in the lighter bottles, and has a different active ingredient, selenium. I do not know why it works, but it really works. I will always have it on hand to use a few times a week. VS Most Liked Negative Review not impressed, but use it I have dandruff. I've had it most of my life and I'm about to turn 24 in a few months. I've tried using other dandruff shampoos and they would only make the problem worse. Head and Shoulders doesn't completely eliminate dandruff. I still can feel flakes stuck to my scalp (I tend to only get dandruff on the back of my head - nape -) What it does do is help with the itchiness. The company came out with another dark blue bottle with a different name (can't remember) and I must say that that specific bottle actually got rid of my dandruff - a first, ever! I was absolutely happy and yet what does the company do? They pull it off the shelves and come out with this one. So as of now, I still continue to use it because it is the only shampoo that controls it. I've recently tweaked my hair washing routine in order to see some sort of improvement and shockingly I have! I now wash my hair twice a week instead of almost everyday as I used to do. I use this shampoo to wash my hair and apply coniditioner (I use the tubes that come with my hair dye - Loreal - the conditioner is brilliant!) immediately afterward or else my hair is a tangled mess when I get out of the shower. If you are not using conditioner with this brand, be prepared to have super dried out hair. And ever since I've changed my hair washing habits, I've noticed a big difference in itchiness, dandruff, and overall hair condition - for the better. My hair is super soft now and my ends don't look or feel fried anymore. Hope I didn't jinx myself. *knock on wood* REVIEWS Reviewed by 13 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » 2/8/2013 H&S Shampoo Pros

Comments about Head & Shoulders Clinical Strength Dandruff Shampoo, 14.2 fl oz: I have been using it for years with no dandruff or scalp problems. I could not get it for a while and developed itchy scalp. The Clinical Strength is the only product that really works and I will never use anything else.
