This supplement was recommended on Dr. Oz show for hair growth and I was so desperate to try anything that I have been giving this a go ever since August along with Evening Primrose oil (alternate) and a topical product and other hair thickening styling products. The change is dramatic. Not sure which to attribute it too but I figure with borderline cholesterol it doesn't hurt to take an omega 3 to try to lower my cholesterol at the same time.

I don't write reviews of products, but my results with this one were so good that I needed to tell others. I have suffered from occasional eczema on my eyelids for the past 20 years. About three years ago, I had an out of control episode in which my eyes were inflamed, scaly and painful. I tried all the remedies prescribed on the Dr. Weil website--all were helpful especially getting off of dairy. However, I was surprised at the effectiveness of his recommendation to take black currant oil (1K mg's daily for 3 months and then 1/2 of that thereafter). After the initial 3 mos. period my skin became very, very soft and healthier looking. Most important, the eczema has never returned. I'm in my late 40's, so any help with the skin is much appreciated, since it seems to make sense that softer skin won't wrinkle as easily. I sometimes substitute black currant oil with primrose oil since it's similar and much less expensive. Like all nutritional remedies, you have to be patient and take it for a while before you see results. I've told many people about this, but no one sticks with it, so I've yet to meet anyone else with the same good result.

I take this product daily... I also have the 1000 mg size, and use them both... It helps with dry skin issues especially in the winter..., since it moisturizes your skin from the inside out....if you take enough of it..., and helps keep from being dehydrated (in addition to taking minerals and drinking lots of water...)
This product also helps with proper digestion and helps prevent constipation...
Actually, we Americans get too much of the Bad Oils in the American diet, and seem to have a hard time getting the much-needed Essential Good Oils. This helps to solve that problem...
This product is plant-based from Black Currants, and so it doesn't have that "fish-y" after-taste of fish oils...
I highly recommend this product...!!!
