As far as fiber goes, this is an effective and reliable product. I've used it in pill form for several years and, as long as you are sure to purchase the line of this product without Senna powder, you will not experience uncomfortable cramps. I also use this often prior to eating to feel fuller as well as slow the digestion of sugars and simple carbs. The thing is, this is the EXACT SAME fiber in Metamucil, however, unlike the aforementioned brand, it DOES NOT dissolve into any liquid whatsoever. In fact it hardly even incorporates to create a "sludge" as another reviewer described. Unless you continually stir it, the powder rises to the top and basically appears like vomit sitting atop your drink. Considering the fact that other products exist that successfully dissolve into liquid, and there is a pill form of this brand, I can't imagine that anyone would be interested in trying this product unless there's some fetish for drinking things that resemble vomit that I'm unaware of.

Started using this as part of a cholesterol lowering diet. It helped immensely as part of a complete regime change to healthy eating, exercise and re-balancing my body chemistry. Will be using it daily for life. Don't expect much taste and if you have problems with thick liquids, this is not for you. But it's cheap, easy and delivers the extra fiber as promised.

This product was great, worked gently, was very effective. No cramps, no problems. Best used in orange juice and then followed with water.

I used this product as directed and saw no changes whatsoever. I had no problems before using this product and thought it might help clean me out rather then just cure a symptom. I've decided to just fast a whole day once a month.

This is a great product. It doesn't cause cramps or upset your system, you just feel like you have to go to the bathroom naturally. The product looks like ground wheat. Just mix one tablespoon with 8 oz. of juice or water and drink. It will have the consistency of apple sauce that's watered down a bit. It works within a few hours. If you take it at bed time, you will have a bowel movement by morning. This product works!

i've used this product for several years and have had consistent results. it's part of my evening ritual before going to bed or a couple hours after dinner. in the morning, i have a natural and thorough bm. highly reccomended. i tried other psyllium husk products and fibers, but none were as effective.

I don't want to imagine my life without this product. I only wish Health Plus would bring back the orange flavored version sweetened with aspartame. That one was so much easier to take.
