These are whole seeds (which is healthier), not the meal. I started adding chia seeds to my morning oatmeal because it tastes great, i love the crunchy texture and it has more protein and omegas than flax seeds. I also use it as a snack...I mix dates, coconut flakes, dark chocolate cocoa and chia seeds (for some extra crunch) and it tastes great!
