It is not greasy like Burt's Bees and the other heavy heel balms. I love having it on a stick-roll on so I don't have to get my hands in heavy, greasy ointment. This is the reason I often let my heels go, it can be so messy using the ointments, or Vicks Vaporub (this works, too!), and the lighter creams just don't get the job done. This is the most horrible smelling stuff I've ever smelled, and it doesn't go away. Smells the whole house up, smelled my shoes up, had people at working sniffing around asking what that smell was - so embarrassing! I do like the stick concept - it's not messy. But that's about the only good thing I can think of to say about it! I recommend Flexitol heel balm over this by far. Aside from the smell, it just didn't work that well.
