Warnings
FDA advises that a potential risk of rare, but severe, liver injury may be associated with kava. Ask a healthcare professional before use if you have, or have had, liver problems, frequently use alcoholic beverages, or are taking any medication. Stop use and see a doctor if liver symptoms occur (unusual fatigue, abdominal pain, appetite loss, dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin). Not for use by persons under 18 years of age, or by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not take with alcoholic beverages. Excessive use may briefly impair ability to drive, or operate machinery. First of all, let me say that this thing tastes absolutely awful. I mix it with some natural flavorings, sweeten it with stevia to make it a little more palatable. You'll have to experiment with both, the dosage and masking the flavor. If you absolutely can't stand the taste, you might want to try them in pill form, though I don't know how effective these are in capsules. I take two droppers full, swish it around my mouth (I've heard enzymes in our mouth activate the kavalactones). I'll feel a numbing sensation in my mouth and then you start feeling more relaxed. If I take too much, I will feel groggy.
