This relatively cheap shampoo works better than many of the more expensive products out there on the market. My sister gave me a bottle of ths shampoo that she bought and didn't use because she decided that didn't like the scent. It has a bit of a tropical, coconut thing going on, but it doesn't come off as 100% natural. I am glad she didn't like it, because it works beautifully on my hair! I have long, thin brown hair and this adds luster and shine to it without making it oily. The problem with my hair is that it is both dry and oily at the same time and I have trouble finding shampoos that work - especially in the cheaper price bracket, as these usually cause my hair to be limp and/or dry. I don't LOVE the smell, but it is pleasant and innocuous enough for daily use. I don't get whiffs of it throughout the day as I did with some of the older Herbal Essences products, so it doesn't compete with my perfume.

This shampoo/conditioner set completely smooths out my curls. NOT what I wanted. My hair is flat and dull looking rather than bouncy and good. I do NOT like this new set and will be going back to totally twisted.

Hello Hydration is a great product! I love it. I used to have problems with frizziness, but I didn't even need to use ones actually for frizziness. Once I started using the shampoo and conditioner, it gave me great hair, with alot of great volume! I am so excited to try some of thier other products!

I originally picked this product after someone told me that using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner actually helps to keep your hair from being so oily. I have always had a problem with my hair being really oily, so I figured it was worth a shot. I used it once, and the next day, my hair STILL looked clean! Usually it looked like I'd slept with a slab of bacon on my head. After I use hello hydration, my hair feels like silk. I love that feeling! I don't shampoo my hair every day now, simply because I don't need to. Sometimes I only actually shampoo it once a week. I rinse it really well and use the hello hydration conditioner every day, and that keeps my hair from getting oily. On several occasions, I have had co-workers ask me what kind of perfume I use. I tell them that I don't wear perfume to work (I work at a nursing home, not exactly a high fashion environment, so perfume would just be over doing it), and they're probably smelling my lotion, or my hair. It's always my hair that they smell. I have to agree with them, though. Hello Hydration's fragrance could definitely pass as a very nice perfume.

Used it and it felt as if I had oiled my hair. It felt as though I had wet my hair after 2 weeks without washing it. I thought that I had put a conditioner in my hair and not the shampoo. I liked the original shampoo better. After washing, my hair is oily by the time it drys. Don't like it.

Hello All, this is a totally true review. My step-daughter (15yo) and I (30yo) ONLY use Herbal Essences' hair care products. She has shoulder length high-lighted hair and my hair is down to the middle of my back...our hair is healthy and strong (if we do say so ourselves)! We'll continue to be happy with the product line as long as things stay the same, or dare we say, GET BETTER?! (if it's even possible)
