I have tried every other cleansing conditioner out there- from the most $$$$ to the least $- the most well known with a cult following and the obscure ones! I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with this one. I do have Herbal Essences in my current rotation but I must wash my hair daily- and my fine, thin/medium textured hair has been going through some issues after a long period of fertility treatments. This stuff is awesome! Smells great, you don't have to use a tone of pumps, spreads well, leave it on a few minutes and rinses very easily. No tangles, soft, lightweight hair that still felt clean the next morning!

I really wanted to love this, I saw it on Pinterest and as bought it the same day. Well.... I have very fine, long, dyed hair. It didn't smell like mint, it had a very strong chemical smell. I have long hair, and it took about 6-9 pumps to really cover it all. It was hard to wash it out, and even after blasting my hair with the shower head after I dried it it felt like residual product was still there. I gave this stuff 3 tries, this happened each time, and my hair never got very clean with it, and was always left kinda greasy, enough so that by the third try I took a second shower and used my regular shampoo and conditioner ( John Frieda root awakening, which actually smells like mint not chemicals) I was so disappointed!

Comments about Herbal Essences Naked Cleansing Conditioner, 16.9 fl oz:

I have naturally curly hair with an oily scalp. I heard co washes were really good for naturally curly hair so when I found this I thought hey why not? I really like it so far. It took some getting used to not having a lather and I worried my hair wouldnt be clean. Day after washing is not so bad but by day 2 it needs to be washed again. My only beef is that when I'm rinsing I can see my hair color washing out! It doesnt say color safe anywhere on the bottle so this could totally be my bad. Other than stripping my hair color I like it.

I work in the beauty industry and have used all the conditioning cleansers, cleansing conditioners and co-washes on the market. This product does not leave the hair stringy or scalp greasy, it cleanses thoroughly and rinses completely, and leaves the hair clean but not stripped dry. It does contain some mint which can be irritating, but no menthol.

This product has a wonderful minty smell- but I have noticed a lot, and I mean a lot of extra breakage in my hair since using this product. It smells wonderful but definitely is hard on the hair and left my hair looking like a broom.

This is the 3rd conditioning cleanser I've tried and the one I like the least. I'm not fond of the scent, which is super minty. I'm just not a fan of mint. I have a medium amount of fine hair and it made it super fly away and flat. Like it was too soft with no body. The others are much better.

I washed my hair just yesterday and it still feels amazingly soft and Silky and it's super shiny. I will definitely buy this again when I run out! I love everything herbal essences!

I LOVE this product. I had used Wen in the past, but couldn't use it regularly because I just can't justify the price. I have wavy hair and really needed to switch to sulfate free and decided to give Herbal Essences a shot because of the low price. I have medium length hair, so I use 5 pumps, massage it into my scalp and leave it in while I shower. Then, I comb it through my hair and rinse it out. Leaves no residue, but doesn't OVERclean my hair. Conditions without making it heavy and detangles really easily. Smells great. And the price is so much better! Please never stop making this product!!!

I've been using a much, much more expensive brand. I use this mainly now and mix a little of the "other" product in as well. VERY cost effective alternative. Scent is a bit strong, but I don't notice it during the day. I find it pleasant smelling. I've shoulder-length color treated hair and use about 5-6 pumps. First, I apply to damp hair, shower, then add water to my hair, "shampoo" then rinse. Same results for a lot less money.
