I have very fine curly hair. The Set Me Up gel has the right amount of hold to keep my curls formed nicely, and it eliminates frizz--ALL DAY! While it is a little crunchy when dry, it is easily scrunched out, leaving my hair soft and bouncy. I've tried other gels that claim to have a max hold of 10, but there is no comparison. I LOVE this gel!

herbal essences' line is great. smells good, holds hair in place w/o leaving a gunky residue. I have to put my hair in a bun everyday and it doesn't break my hair. I'm able to comb it out at the end of the day.

Best thing about this gel is that it does not make the hair look wet. This gel is completely invisible. Great for windy days. I've tested it in some pretty strong winds and was shocked to see that my hair stayed in place perfectly, and still looks naturally dry.

I've used this for a year or so even thru changing my hair style completely! It works great and doesn't dry my hair out.

i always need a gel to use when i straighten my hair to keep it straight and resistant to humidity throughout the day. so i decided to give this product a try, mostly because i like the smell of herbal essences products and it was on sale. and honestly, it doesn't even feel like a gel at all. i put it through my hair once, twice, three or four times throughout the day (tiny amounts), and it still has no effect on my hair. maybe makes it softer and smoother to the touch, but doesn't give me the "hold" i want. i would probably label this as a "smoothing jelly", not a "max hold gel".

This stuff left flakes and sticky residue in my hair. Won't be using this gel ever again.

This is the best gel on the market!! This is the only styling product that actually makes my won't-hold-a-style hair cooperate. I would buy this in a case if I could!! If your hair is at all unmanageable, you should definitely give this a try!!

I saw this new product and decided to dry it on my hair. I have long curly/wavy hair and this product worked just fine, and defined my waves. But I use a lot of it. The smell is tropical, it's great. I had it on on a pretty humid day and it worked well. I see that this line also has a gel specifically for curly hair (purple bottle), so I guess I'll try it as well next time.
