I used to be a "helmet head" thanks to Auqua Net & Final Net Hairsprays & my fine, limp, straight hair. Herbal Essences "Set Me Up Hairspray 3/Max" has finally set me free!

You can lift, piece & even "sculpt" your hair with this product & it leaves your hair looking & feeling soft and airy. I love that I can reposition sprayed hair wherever I want it to stay & it still looks soft.

The best part is that this product holds for hours. Other "touchably soft" hairsprays allow my hairstyle to "collapse" & fall limp in my face within a half hour.

With this product, I can even style & spray my hair, then brush through it after it's dry & the spray will continue to give my hair the body & lift it doesn't naturally have.

Two things to watch out for:

Spraying too close to your hair: the force of the spray will reposition it.

Combing or brushing through hair before the spray has dried (several seconds): This causes the hair to look wet & stringy. The lock can be easily separated by brushing it again when it's dry, or by grasping it at the base with your fingernails & sliding them out to the ends of the strand. Then just pat the strands back in place or re-curl and lightly spray.

This is a very "forgiving" hairspray with extra hold AND a soft, natural look & feel.

I bought this product last week and used it once. I will never use it again! It made my hair so sticky and stiff that it was actually PAINFUL to brush it out. Don't, don't use this stuff on your hair!!!

i love love love this hairspray! it smells great, and i was impressed at how well it holds! with other hairspray, you have to use A TON to get it to hold as well, but this hairspray holds really tight for a long time, too! the scent is strong if you use a lot but that's no problem because it smells great! BUT, i wouldn't recomend this product if you want your hair to be soft and smooth after you style, because it makes it hard, as most hairsprays do.

The only hairspray I'll use. Holds my stick-straight hair after styling and is never sticky. Evens hold in high humidity, and doesn't leave hair stiff.

My hair is fine and thinning.. When I use a few rollers, I spray after 'rolling' which gives hair body and shine.
It doesn't smell, it does the job. Put it on sale and I'll buy a case.

I've used this product for years and ran out. I tried Matrix Max Hold (Which is terrible - use the whole bottle and not get any hold) and decided to come back to this brand. It goes on easily. I use less of it than other brands I've tried. AND I don't have "chemical smell" all day. It is a bit sticky when it is wet, but dries quickly and perfect hold. I have shorter hair that I like to ensure has volume and staying power. I don't need to comb my hair again at all through the day and can brush out my hair just fine at night. No flaking at all. I ONLY like the Max Hold of this brand, as the others don't give quite the same hold.

Holds well, but doesn't stick hair together so tightly that you can't comb through it when you wake up in the morning or get rained on.

I like Herbal Essences products, and thought I would take a shot on this one, because it's the MAX HOLD.

I like the smell, but hold is no where near what I would consider "MAX HOLD".

The price is great, compared to other products out there, but I have to use 1 1/2 to 2 times the normal amount of other products to get the same results.

I would recommend this product, but with the warning label that it's not the end all be all of max hold hair sprays, and know that before you buy it.
